Smart India Hardware Hackathon-2018(Smart Communication) was held at CSIR CEERI, Pilani from 17-22 June, 2018. 5 Students from 4th year of ECE department got selected in the finals from over 1000 teams all over India. Their project was focused on how verbally disabled can communicate with normal people using a specially designed and programmed hand gloves named SIGN-O-GLOVES.They secured 4th rank in the finals and also grabbed the opportunity of internship from the Director of CSIR CEERI Pilani. Team Members: Aman Bose, Kaustav Mandal, Aritro Das, Sohini Saha, Pronay Paul, Rajat Das.They also got featured in various news channels and newspapers including Dooradarshan, Times of India and ZEE news etc.

'RSA-2017' -A Student Paper Contest among different private and Govt. academic institute of repute, was held on 07.09.2017 at Netaji Subhash Engg. College (Techno India Grp.) and we are happy to share with you that ECEI 3rd year students (Avishek, Aparajeeta, Arijit) of GNIT, stood first.and received the ' Best Paper Award ' and prizes. The work was supervised by Mr. Sayan Roy Chowdhury and also Mr. Ramkrishna Mondal (JTA) of ECE Dept.
